AI-Enabled Decision Making

The challenge

Strategic dominance in the Indo-Pacific relies on the ability to track and coordinate friendly forces—”blue objects”—with absolute precision. To maintain operational awareness in dynamic and contested environments, the Department of War identified a requirement for adaptable, dual-use technologies that enhance logistics and decision-making resilience.

The solution

To accelerate these capabilities, the DIU and USINDOPACOM selected a cohort of ten partners to co-develop AI-enabled decision-making systems. Through this accelerator, Snorkel AI works alongside defense teams to improve how mission-critical data is integrated and accessed across platforms. This partnership focuses on deploying adaptable solutions that can track, fuse, and analyze blue-object data in real time, ensuring readiness in the field.

The outcome

This collaboration accelerates the transition of commercial technology into theater operations, ensuring the Department of War has access to resilient solutions that support logistics and continuity of operations. Selected by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to develop the solution, Snorkel AI is partnering directly with DIU to advance defense AI by delivering validated, mission-critical capabilities for contested environments.

Deploying production AI in <60 days to accelerate claims review 67%
A leading global firm transforming insurance subrogation operations with AI found that manual review processes capped their throughput to ~30% of available claims. This bottleneck left significant revenue on the table and froze their ability to scale. The path to automation was further blocked by severe data imbalances where the critical signals for coverage appeared in only a small fraction of claims, making traditional AI models unreliable.
